We pride ourselves on providing a complete golf experience at Brookline Golf Course and our golf instruction is a big part of that. Duncan Smith, PGA Director of Instruction and our PGA Teaching Professionals will provide you with a comfortable and enjoyable environment to work on your game. Our golf instruction focuses on the individual student’s needs and offers an enjoyable training session to help each achieve their goals. Lessons can take place on our full-length beautiful driving range, at the practice putting green, as well as on course.
PGA GOLF INSTRUCTION
Duncan Smith, PGA
Director of Instruction
Duncan Smith is a class A PGA member and has 25 years of experience playing golf and 15 years of experience teaching the game. He specializes in swing mechanics, short game, course management.
Duncan is originally from Manchester, England, and moved to South Florida to attend Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale on a golf scholarship and was most recently the Director of Instruction at Woodlands Country Club in Fort Lauderdale.
He has taught thousands of lessons to all ages and abilities and you can trust him to steer you in the right direction when it comes to increasing your knowledge of the sport.
Instruction Rates
$160 per hour for adult private instruction.
Justin Lawson, PGA
Justin Lawson, PGA is entering his fourth season as the General Manager/Head Golf Professional at Brookline Golf Course. His career stretches more than 20 years working with golfers of all abilities.
Whether it’s a need to get back on track, an introductory lesson for a new golfer, or a junior who is looking to advance their ability, Justin tailors every lesson to each student and uses the fundamentals of the swing to promote a more consistent motion. During private instruction, students will enjoy drills, practice techniques, and related swing philosophy conversations. Each session is completely a custom experience developed to meet the needs of the student. Justin uses video technology to reinforce the feels of the swing, so they can become real.
Instruction Rates
$125 per hour for adult private instruction | $70 per half hour
$60 for 45 minutes for junior private instruction
Nick Kenis, PGA
Nick grew up in Watertown, and spent much of his childhood as a caddy at Oakley Country Club. He began his PGA career working in the bag room next door at The Country Club. Soon after, he served as an Assistant Pro at Vesper Country Club in Tyngsboro and John’s Island Club in Vero Beach, FL. He comes to us most recently from Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, where he served as Head Golf Professional.
Nick has served as Assistant Coach for the BB&N Golf Team in Cambridge, and has participated in several community youth outreach programs geared toward providing equal access to golf. He has worked with kids of all ages and enjoys getting young people into golf so he can grow the game.
